The Secret War between High Fructose Corn Syrup and Sugar

The corn refinery and sugar industries, in a lawsuit, shows academic research published a decade ago stating that a less healthy sweetener than sugar is partly responsible for rising obesity and diabetes.  The Corn Refiners Association is trying to persuade the Food and Drug Administration to declare its syrup, “natural” and change the labeling from “corn syrup” to “corn sugar”.
